Let Your Creativity Run Wild

After years of working nine to five within the confines of four walls, creative soul Magda Thibaut realised that participating in workshops enhanced all aspects of her life. With the lure of learning new skills, letting her imagination run wild and meeting like-minded people, she was hooked.

However, she soon realised that most workshops were art based and quite expensive, and decided to find a way to make creativity accessible to others. With this realisation, she decided to ditch the daily grind and pour her passion into bringing all kinds of creative classes to the masses.

Inspired by the words of poet Maya Angelou “You can’t use up creativity, the more you use, the more you have”, the team hopes to connect with people and allow them to discover their creative side.

Opening for the first time this Saturday, the city-based studio will be the centre of all things creative, ‘with a focus on unlocking people’s imagination through classes and workshops in arts, crafts and life skills’.

Get Crafty

Collaborating with a number of experts, the studio offers a wide range of topics and classes, including; natural skincare (creating your own body scrubs and bath soaks), Kokedama with succulents (Japanese moss balls), floral and herbal posy arranging, book binding, figurative drawing and crocheting. Prices include all materials required, morning tea or a glass of bubbly, and a sense of accomplishment as you proudly take home your new creation to display or enjoy.

Magda says she loves that Perth Creative Co. is able to provide such a wide variety of workshops, as they like to ‘shake it up a little’ and that her team consists of ‘creative superheros, bursting with experience and knowledge to share.’    

With more classes to be announced in the coming weeks, the team are happy to take on suggestions to cater for skills people may have always wanted to try. Magda says their classes are a great way for people to master a skill they have always wanted to learn, but can also be used for private parties or for companies to use for team building opportunities.

Magda says she loves that her new job allows her to meet and create with such wonderful people every day, and that ‘it’s the first time in my life I’ve ever been a morning person!’
