These winter markets are bringing the warmth to Scarborough

It’s time to throw on your best ‘keep-warm woollies’ as Perth’s most anticipated winter markets return to Scarborough from Saturday 29 May. The Scarborough Beach Association (SBA) is once again teaming up with Perth’s architects of experience, KINN & Co for the return of The Scarborough Sunset Markets Winter Season. Every Saturday evening (3pm – 8pm) from 29 May until 30 October, Scarborough will ignite into a cosy sanctuary of all your market favs along with a few new wintery delights.

If Thursday nights are for the Summer Season, Saturday afternoons are undoubtedly for her toastier little sister. Those pesky winter blues are a thing of the past at the Scarborough Sunset Winter Markets; she’s warm, intimate, extremely delicious and the ultimate spot to spend time with the whole gang.

We’re all sick of home cooking (right!), so why not let Perth’s best food trucks and dessert connoisseurs treat you to their soul-warming eats and oh so sweet delights. Looking to stay warm? The custom-made fire pits will be a blaze, and yes, in true Scarborough Winter Markets style, there will be an abundance of marshmallows ready for roasting. S’more party, anyone?

Beats from our beloved local  markets DJs provide the perfect soundtrack to your wintery Saturday eves. They’re known as our summer party starters, but don’t be fooled - their winter beats are just as HOT!

The global foodies will span around the Scarborough Clocktower and throughout the arbours, while hand selected artisan market stalls will flank the winter oasis.

Saturday evenings in Perth have never looked so good as up to 50 foodies and retailers come together to showcase global cuisines, local treats and handcrafted winter wares. From BBQ meats, toasted curries, Italian street food, Asian dumplings, authentic Lebanese, Brazilian bites, hot potatoes, handmade gnocchi, Latino vegan delights, real Moroccan, heart-warming soups, western Indo rendang to French crepes and pastries, Greek donuts, fluffy pancakes, macarons, deep fried delights, hot bevies, crème brulee and everything in between.

The hand selected retail stalls will ensure you get your winter shopping fix each week, with goods ranging from vintage clothing, handmade candles, street clothing, dog treats, photography, ocean inspired jewellery, mobile lolly bus, eco homewares and more!

Our local Scarborough Beach Scout Group will be igniting the fires each week and helping us keep them burning throughout the winter months.

And our legendary Waste Warriors will once again be ensuring all the markets waste is sorted into the three waste streams, to help reduce landfill.
