Cabaret royalty and rising stars are set to light up downstairs at the Maj this season, boasting some of Australia’s extraordinary cabaret vocal talent, musical tributes and plenty of laughs. 

This season presents a hand-picked selection of cabaret royalty and rising stars delivering extraordinary vocals, tributes, outrageous cheek and plenty of humour. It’s fresh, eclectic and has everything you need for a great night out.

With Australian cabaret's biggest names - including multiple Helpmann Award winner Michael Griffiths and the living legend of Les Girls, Carlotta - alongside Perth's very own sensation Jessie Gordon and the Perth Cabaret Collective (to name a few), there's plenty to get excited about in the 2019 Downstairs at The Maj season.

From the swinging 60s to the over-the-top 80s’ and national treasures to timeless divas, this electric handpicked selection of fresh and returning cabaret favourites offer something to tickle a range of musical tastes.

With pre-show and interval drinks and dining, cosy cabaret seating and artist meet and greets, Downstairs at The Maj makes a perfect night to share with friends or someone special.

“Obscenely talented” (Broadway BabyUK) Helpmann Award winner Michael Griffiths returns

each year to sell-out houses Downstairs - his “favourite cabaret venue in Australia”. Backed by a three Piece band he’ll share stories and perform favourite songs by Queen, Elton John, ABBA and more plus, (via social media) you can make requests.
