The jingle bells were ringing and Sweetleaf were singing at Parmelia Hilton’s Christmas event, setting the scene for a fun-filled evening of cocktails, exquisite food, quality entertainment and plenty of Christmas cheer. And best of all, we got to tell Santa our Christmas lists early!
Let the festivities begin
Last week, we were lucky enough to get a ‘sneak peak’ of the festive event offerings at Parmelia Hilton…and boy did they deliver the Christmas goodies. From delicious Christmas cosmos through to an indulgent festive menu produced by award-winning chef, Ricki Fleming, we were transported into a Winter Wonderland to match the chilly July weather. Oh, and did we mention the house-made donut wall? That’s right - the pastry chefs have really outdone themselves on this one (we strongly recommend their maple bacon creation).
Christmas Classics with a twist
Ricki’s menu put a modern twist on some of our favorite Christmas classics, and included a Rolled turkey breast with crispy pork belly, roast potatoes, and a cranberry jus. The standout dish for us, however, was his Black forest mousse torte with chocolate gelato and stewed cherries - the perfect mix of naughty and nice. Add to the plate an array of Christmas canapes, bite-size desserts, and a mouth-watering grazing platter, and all our Christmas wishes came true.
Plenty of seasonal offerings
As well as the festive food and drink, Parmelia Hilton had a few alternative party tricks hidden up their sleeves - live music, a Christmas-themed photo booth, and a caricaturist capturing some of our most ‘flattering’ features. And of course, it’s not Christmas without the appearance of the big man in red himself. That’s right - Santa graced us with his jolly presence to complete the festivities in the best way possible.
