Step over to the 'Otherside' this month in Cockburn

With beer garden weather just around the corner, Cockburn Gateway has partnered with Otherside Brewing Co. to introduce ‘Welcome to the Otherside’, an outdoor venue complete with a bar, music, food and most importantly, ice-cold craft beer.

After successful activations around the Perth suburbs, ‘Welcome to the Otherside’ will be bumping in at Cockburn Gateway for four weeks only from mid-September.

From Thursday through Sunday, visitors can enjoy an array of Otherside beers, Australian wines, cocktails, and wild concoctions. Bar-goers will also indulge in a mix of international street food and local cuisine.

There will be live WA music to keep the guests entertained as well as some mysterious activities to keep the kids busy, including a Monsterhunt where kids can find beasts hidden throughout the festival.

Al Taylor, CEO of WA brewing and hospitality group, Triple-1-Three said they’re so pleased to be extending the ‘Welcome to the Otherside’ offering to the 6164 postcode.

“Off the back of COVID, a lot of places have shut down - hotels, pubs, clubs - places where the community like to go and socialise. ‘Welcome to the Otherside’ is our way of providing that for the community – even if only for a short time,” he said.

“Cockburn Gateway is the perfect location for our latest ‘Welcome to the Otherside’ location. The instant-beer-garden will be set up on the grassed area outside the shopping centre and will be there as a place people can go, relax, reconnect and get a little respite from the stresses of all that’s going on around us.”

Otherside will be giving away a Grand Tycoon prize pack to celebrate the launch. Tickets for the VIP 'Welcome to the Otherside' launch party on Wednesday 15 September will be given to the winner and 10 friends.

The prize, valued at over $1,000, includes tickets to an exclusive VIP experience at the launch party, complimentary food and drinks, an Otherside ‘Tycoon’ membership, a brewery tour and cocktail masterclass with Cocktail Gastronomy. The competition can be entered via their Facebook page.
